Changing text fonts in 0.9.5 vs 0.9.6

I have just started using version 0.9.6 after using 0.9.5 for some time. In 0.9.5, I was able to input my lyrics and/or chordnames in the default font (typically Times new Roman) and then use Style--> Edit Text Style to change all the lyrics or chord names all at once to a different font (such as Jazz Text Extended or Inkpen2 Chords). In 0.9.6, that seems to no longer be the case; using Style--> Edit Text Style seems to have no effect on text already entered. Was that intentional? It is possible to right-click on a chord name, then select Text Properties, and select "apply to all elements of same type" to modify the font of all the chord names, however, they change position quite a bit compared to my previous experience of being able to use Style--> Edit Text Style. Any comments or suggestions regarding the most effective way to modify text are appreciated. Thank You!
