Needed help with a funky bass - line

Hi,

I need some help please with a score I wanted to write down with musescore.

It´s from Acker Bilk "autumn leaves".

I wrote it in 4/4 time but I´m not satisfied yet. The middle part, where the bass gets kind of funky my notes are getting harder to read. ( Maybe I can post the result how far I got till now. )

Anyone got a proposal how I could write this down ( especially the bass line, and the clarinet melody part ) so that´s grovy like the original tune but readable for ordinary mortals? ( I know musescore plays everything a musician won´t even understand )

Maybe it´s better written in 2/2 time?

Would be great if anyone could help.
