Not all parts saved
I'm new to MuseScore. Spent about a week (12 to 15 hours - with the learning curve) creating three parts for a big band jazz chart. I didn't close MS all week. I then printed the parts on Friday . I then closed Musescore and saved the work I had done to my desktop. Or so I thought. When I opened the saved document Sunday the only part that was there was the last part I did (5th trumpet). Please tell me the
other 2 parts are hidden someplace. If they aren't and I have to do them over what went wrong and how do I avoid it in the future?
I'm using MuseScore 2.02 on a mac using Lion 10.7.5.
I'm attaching my MS file.

In the attached score there is only the trumpet. Try to search the backup:

Spes last goddess.
You've exported as a PDF before printing?
In this case you might try https://musescore.com/import

and that trumpet is actually a piano, by sound and transpositioning
I can only guess maybe at one time you had a score that included three parts, but then, while viewing one of the parts, you did a "Save As" to save the part separately, and in the process gave it the same name as the original score, thus overwriting it. Hoepfully the backup is still there. Or maybe the Mac "time machine" feature will be able to recover the older version? Not sure how that works.
Sorry, I've been rude and haven't replied. Thanks to everyone who tried to help, although I didn't understand some of the comments. Thanks to a conversation with marc off line I have determined that I failed to save 2 of the trumpet parts. I had a MS window (document?) with 3 tabs, one for each trumpet part. When I finally closed MS after keeping it open all week while I worked on the 3 parts I was probably prompted to save each tab but only ended up saving the last tab which was the trp 5 part. Oh well, live and learn. I've tried using the pdf converter to re-import the parts. While the converter is a great idea it doesn't do a good enough job to save any time. In fact it looks like it will be faster to just re-input the 2 lost parts.
Again thanks for your attempt to help.

I'm afraid you are probably right, both about what happened and about PDF import (a nice idea, but it would often take more work to correct than to enter the music manually).
FWIW, I normally recommend saving regularly rather than waiting until the very end. What I think happened was that MuseScore did its auto-save every two minutes, but when you closed MuseScore without saving the files, it cleaned up the auto-save files as well. They are generally left behind only after a crash - because MuseScore doesn't have a chance to clean them up - and can be a great help. But unless you have Time Machine set up and it was able to back up copies of those auto-save files (I don't really know how it works), there is probably nothing to do. Hmm, maybe those auto-save files went to a "Recycle Bin" (?), but I kind of doubt it.
