Jumps all the way to beginning of song when I press "n"
I'm trying to write a bass drum part in about the 50th measure of the song. Needless to say, this is several pages from the beginning. But everytime I press n, even is I have the measure selected, it jumps to measure 1, and I'm unable to place any notes in the desired measure. It is honestly pissing me off.

Which version of MuseScore, what OS, can you share the score you're having a Problem with?
in general it should work to select the measure itself, but if for reason it doesn't for this particular measure in this particular score, posting the score is the only we would be able to understand why and help further.
Meanwhile, instead of selecting the measure, try selecting just a single note or rest, that may work better. But if there is a problem with MuseScore that causes selecting the measure not to work for this particular measure in this particular score, we'd certainly like to be able to fix it, so please post the score anyhow.
