half the value of notes

hello,

is it possible to half the value of all the notes in a score?
for example, i have a score in 2/1 time. i would like to turn it into a score in 2/2 time where the whole notes turn to half notes, the halfs to quarters, etc. so that the music sounds exactly the same but looks different.

I wrote a Plugin to do this:

In keeping with the spirit of the title, it's only half-finished but it does, at least, work on simple pieces (no transposing instruments, one stave only, doesn't change the actual time-signature for you but it does generate a stream of notes at half-duration that you can then paste into your new composition).

Hey, is it possible to insert a drum part and have it cut it in half?
