How to transpose only Guitar chord names for Capo use?
Hi all,
how can I transpose only the names of Guitar chords without affectiong the related music notation?
Example:
I notated a score in C minor (Eb major) for piano and violin. Guitar chord names are written also, but they would be much nicer to play with a Capo on first fret - so I want to transpose only the written chord names one step lower and add a note "Capo 1st fret".
Thanks for any helpful hint,

Not entrirely what you want, but you can have the capo'ed chords in brackests after the normal chords by setting the capo fret in https://musescore.org/en/handbook/layout-and-formatting-0#style-edit-ge…
You could also trasnspose the whole staff using Notes / Transpose, then transpose the notes back just using the arrow keys. But really, the facility provided to add the capo chords in parentheses may well be exactly what you want already.

Thanks Jo-Jo and Marc,
you are perfectly right - I remember having seen those capoed chords within bracktes in older church song books where most stuff is set for choral music accompanied by organ and/or brass, thus full of Bb and Eb tunes.
