How to convert guitar tablature to music notes
Hi, Gang!!!
Is there an easy way (I mean: one command, one button) to convert an standard guitar tablature to musical notes?
Even the fact I'm not a guitarist, it is a fact that there is a plenty of melodies written like guitar tablature in the web.
Of course, we can to translate it on music notes, by hand, but... There is something called: "Lazy... ness"
So... Is there a way to get it? ???
Greetings & Blessings!!!!!!!
Juan

To convert a tablature-type staff to a standard type see:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/tablature#by-changing-staff-type
Also:

especially regarding linked and non-linked staves.
Regards.

Thanks a lot for your help, but I think I expressed my idea in a wrong way.
I wasn't talking about the MuseScore tablature staves (and files).
I was talking about the plenty of text style tablatures we can find on Internet. It is just a text file (like any Word Processor file) format.
I'm uploading a visual sample of those files.
How get that MuseScore reads and understands those text files and converts it into a useful musical notes? ???
That's my point.

You need to find a program that can convert these into something else, like MuiscXML, or even Guitar Pro. Probably such things exist.

This sort of tablature is called ascii tab so you can search easier for it.
This now free program can import ascii tab and export musicxml:
tabazar

There are players for ASCII TABs around. When they produce sound they obviously know already what every tone is and thus can send/export it into a MIDI file as well as they to by sending the recognized tone to an audio system or speaker.
Good luck,

Maybe you think about "musescore-chordsToNotes". This plugin for MuseScore 2.0 expands chords annotations into a few notes: https://github.com/berteh/musescore-chordsToNotes
