Extracting Parts in Linux (and Other Gray Areas)
My Extract Parts option is grayed-out in the File menu, giving the implication that it's not available as an option. I have similar grayed-out menu items for Create, Notes, Layout, Style, Display, Plugins, as well as various sub-menus. Is this just part of the Linux build that I just have to deal with until a new update, or have I missed something?

To extract parts and have access to plugins you need to load a score first. Did you do that ?

Uploaded it to musescore.com then downloaded it from the site. Still no dice

By load a score, he meant open the score in MuseScore (not on musescore.com). Can you share a screenshot , that shows the MuseScore window when the menus are grayed out?
Um yeah. So I opened up MuseScore this morning to take the screen shot.... and everything was available. I have extracted parts and everything. Perhaps it was just buggy yesterday? Who knows. Um, thanks for your help guys.

Are you using the latest version (currently MuseScore 0.9.6.3)? If you discover the steps in the future to reproduce consistently please share.
