Some guidance needed concerning the Norwegian translation

• Jan 13, 2011 - 10:17

The title says it all...

1. What does these expressions stand for:
"SlurFor"
"SlurBack"
"StaffMove"
in ChordRestBase

2. These strings (chars) in MeasurePropertiesBase I can not seem to find:
"a"
"c"
What do they stand for?

3. What does the command "Timewise Delete" do?

4. What is "First page no." in PageSettingsBase supposed to say?

5. And last but not least, can someone explain the definition of "courtesy signatures"? I have some problems translating the "courtesy"-strings when I'm not sure of the implementation.

Thanks for any answers! (See the unstranslated Norwegian strings if you have trouble finding the strings)

Comments

1. these strings are part of the "inspector" internal debugger and refer to names in the source code. They should not be translated. Some are marked as "do not translate" but unfortunately not all.
2. same as 1. i guess
3. if you delete a measure, only its contents is deleted and replaced by a full measure rest. "Timewise Delete" really removes the measure.
4. Its the page number MuseScore starts counting; this is useful if you split a big score into pieces and want to start at a page number different from 1 for the following parts.
5. if a key signature changes on the next staff, the new key is also put at the end of the previous staff line as a warning or hint to make reading easier for the performer. Same for clef or time signature changes

hope this helps
