MusicXML isn't a "program". It's a file format. It's comparable to a file named . The .DOC file format is a file that can be read by the Microsoft Word program (and others).
MusicXML is a format that can be read successfully by many different notation programs. So, if you want to save a score you created in MuseScore and open it in some other notation program, you can click on File / Export and, under Export settings, select MusicXML as the "file format" to export into. Be aware that there are several choices of "file type". You'll need to look at that other notation program to identify which file type you need to export into.
