Loading error
I had looked at a score I made this morning and had saved it and everything, but when I went back this afternoon to open it again, a pop up window came up saying it was having trouble loading the score and it couldn't read the file

I've already tried that and it said the same message and still will not load.

In order to be more helpful, we'd need you to post the score you are having problems with. Both the original and the backup, I guess.
