MuseScore does not have a feature that allows a passage to be played secnd time only, except if it is part of a volta. If this passage *is* within a volta, then prbably the volta properties were set up incorrectly. But in order to help further, we would need you to post the score you are having problems with (see "File attachments" button below where you type your post) and give us steps to reproduce the problem. Also say what version of MuseScore and what OS.

Hi, I have just read here that MuseScore does not have the feature to play a particular instrument only the second time in a repeated passage. But what about some automation? Using automation, could I turn the mixer to 0 for the first time and to 100 the second time? Is it possible with MuseScore? Of course I could copy the same passage 2x and let play some instruments for the first time and add another instrument the second time, but it is an extra work and then I will have to make the score as original, so it is a double extra work. So, any automation possible? Thank you
