I am finding when using voices they are sounding flat . I wondered if there is anything I could do or use in settings to refresh them!

If you mean the sounds meant to actually represent human voices, and if by "flat" you literally mean the tuning, the default is A=440, but you can raise the pitch if you want using View / Synthesizer / Tuning. If you mean something else about the sound, feel free to substitute a different sound using View / Mixer, or read the Handbook under Soundfont to learn how to incorporate other soundfonts (none I know of have a particularly convincing voice sound, though).
Yes I do mean sound to represent human voice. I will try the method you mention. Thank you Terry

I've found that the voice sounds from the Timbres of Heaven SoundFont are much better than the MuseScore defaults: https://musescore.org/en/node/36171#list
