Format change not passed to printer driver
The attached file was originally in portrait format and has been changed to landscape format. If it shall be printed, however, the format has to be changed again from portrait to landscape in the printer settings.

OP confirmed in https://musescore.org/en/node/119666#comment-549571 that this fixes for Windows too (see https://musescore.org/en/node/60481, which confirms that indeed he's using Windows), so it might be OK to add that fix to the 2.0.4 branch too.
Maybe the OP of https://musescore.org/en/node/121086 could confirm it to be fixed for Mac too?
Sorry, but I do not understand how I get this patch.

It's not a patch that is available to users; it is awaiting inclusion in some future release. When you see the status to "fixed", and a message saying that it is fixed in 2.0.4, that means an experimental nightly build will be made available for people to test (but these experimental test builds should not be relied upon for real work). The experimental nightly builds are available via the Downloads link in the menu at right of this page.
Marc, this is already in the 3.0 nightly builds.
Sorry, just saw the status and didn't read the whole thread. In which case, my comment about nightly builds being experimental and for testing purposes only applies a thousand-fold :-)
In https://musescore.org/en/node/122381#comment-554101 we have a(nother) confirmation that this patch works for Windows 7 too
