Text Editing - Superscripting
In text editing special character (F2) function some hex codes are not being interpreted correctly for superscript and subscript in Windows 10 version of Musescore 3.4.2. For example superscript 1, 2 and 3 produce i, ? and ?.
Is this some to be corrected in version 3.5?

It works fine if the font you are using contains those characters (not all do).

Looks like it all comes down to what text is being entered. In most cases you are correct Superscript/Subscript does work via the Text Edit Toolbar, but since the Toolbar is disabled when entering Chord Elements, one has to use the Special Character palette (F2) in which the condition that I initially described is demonstrated, as illustrated in the attached pdf.

A font problem.

Note though, that for chord specifically super/sub-scripting is normally achieved via the chord symbol style settings file.

Chord symbols are not simple text, there is a ton of special handling and formatting that happens automatically. Including superscripting, if you you enable it by selecting the Jazz style or using the dedicated controls in Format / Style / Chord Symbols. Definitely don’t try to use the special characters; it will interfere with the normal chord symbol handling and adversely affect transposition, export to MusicXML, playback, etc.
