External midi keyboard needs MS restart to be detected
Hello,
Everything is in the title.
I use an external midi keyboard (AKAI professional LPK25) to input notes.
It never gets detected when I plug it in when MS is running.
I need to close and reopen MS, and then it correctly gets detected.
Preferences... / I/O / Restart audio and midi devices does not help.
Any way to fix it ?

Does toggling the MIDI Button in the tool bar (that 5-pin DIN connector icon) help?

Unfortunately not, the Midi button is on by default when opening MS, and untoggling/toggling it does not fix the issue.

It's a known and documented limitation that the keyboard has to be plugged in and turned on first.
