This bug is not present on Win10 - same track works fine on it.
- Set a note to niente.
- select the group of notes preceding the muted one that will be fade-out
- set the next note following the note with niente to any other audible dynamic. (pp, p, mp, mf, ff, ...)
The play back will sometimes just keep staying muted for this instrument after the note set to niente. Even if setting multiple and various dynamics to every other following notes.
In the shared example, the first fade-out doesn't break, the second one just mutes the whole end of the saxophone.

Hi,
I confirm I have the same behavior on Linux with official AppImage 3.5.0.
I also made a little example focusing on diminuendo to niente followed by a dynamics, I cannot find any logic why it works sometimes.
I reduced the original piece to the few related measure.

I still have a similar issue on Musescore 4. It seems to me the operational range of the decresc. or the niente is not in sync with where is it displayed. If I use more separation between the niente and the next dynamic, the new dynamic plays back fine.
