Diminuendo, Crescendo hairpin
Hello all,
Since many printed scores for piano use both without explicitly specifying how much to change the volume, and Musescore ignores them unless there is a dynamic after that, I would suggest to make the volume increase/decrease an option of the hairpin setting.
Something like 10% up or down.

What has velocity to do with volume?

Different word for the same thing
Comes from MIDI and there from keyboards, how fast and hard you hit a key determines the volume

Thanks for the extra info.
For some reason, Musescore did not change the velocity.
Now, it has and it works.
What is the unit it is measured, percent?
Is there a global way to change that?

It adding/subtracting to/from a value between 0 and 127
In the inspector, the velocity change field changes the dynamic. Always use a positive number since MuseScore knows if you want it louder or softer.

You didn't put a number in Velocity change so it didn't change velocity. For ease of understanding consider velocity and volume the same thing. If you enter 37 you will have the dynamic end at p.

I tried to but the change did not go through.
