I want to make a violin scale and how do I make the first line and the line under the first independent so the 2nd line’s bars do not continue to count bars from the first line?

Use a section break from the breaks and spacers palette and measure numbering will restart at one.

You're running a bad version, uninstall this one and install again some time later (a good version is currently in the making. Watch https://musescore.org/en/3.5.2 for an update.
