How to make this workflow easier?
I'm really diving into using Musescore, and one of the more time consuming things I'm running into involves sequences of eighth notes and quarter notes in a syncopated manner (see attachment). In order to enter these very common sequences, I have to constantly switch between eighth and quarter note mode, then I need to fix it up by adding ties. Given how common this is, is there any way to speed up entry of this particular idiom?

You should be adding the ties as you go. Like for the first measure, type:
5 0 4 C D + 5 E 4 F 5 +
The "+" enters both the note and the tie in one operation.

That is helpful. I don't have enter the note twice OR put the ties in later.
