Selecting in various voices

I'm comfortable with the concept of voices in other notation apps and yet find myself struggling with MuseScore's approach.

Regarding selections, is there a way to:

  • have a selection grab ONLY notes and rests in a single voice?
  • temporarily exclude specific voices from selection gestures?

F6 is the selection filter. If it's checked it's included in the selection. You can see exactly what's selected by the color of the item in a selection range. If it's not black it's selected unless it's an out of range for the instrument note, then it will always be red or olive green.
