Button to leave Musescore's fullscreen mode
I'm currently working with Musescore 2.1.
With ctrl+u you enter fullscreen mode.
- I just thought it would be nice to have some kind of X-button in corner to leave the fullscreen again.
- The common fullscreen key in most programs is F11. Well that is already taken.
However what about changing the current shortcut ctrl+F11 which still seem to be free.

There is such a shortcut - it's [Ctrl]u (it's a toggle function).

I'm on a Macbook pro (which I know you hate!) and I had to close the app and re-open to get back to the normal screen.

In the view menu there is the option to make full screen and the shortcut for Mac will be listed to the right of the option.

Why would I hate a Macbook?
The handbook lists Ctrl+U only, if it is different for Mac, we'r better add this there

Maybe it wasn't you. Someone on the FB MS User Group page said something to the effect of "For God's sake, don't buy a Mac." Or something like that. Sorry to sound accusatory. I'm a college music theory prof and it's been a long, COVID-19 online semester! :)

You can open Edit->Preferences->Shortcuts and add your own if you like.

My impression is that on some OS's, the "fullscreen" behavior is controlled in part by the OS, to make sure all programs have a consistent way of returning control (like how Alt+Tab on most OS's switches apps). So it would be good to be clear about this.
