Mixer channel behaviour
When I adjust mixer channel sliders, for example Pizzicato or Tremolo strings, the sliders act independently. If I adjust the main channel, all channels snap to that setting. I don't know if this is the intended behaviour of the main slider, but it means that any adjustment to the main slider will mean that I have to re-adjust the levels of the nested channels. I wonder if it would be more effective to be able to set the individual channels to taste, and have the main slider adjust the overall levels proportionally in the mix.

Perhaps this can be considered in the long-planned redesign of the mixer.
This is intended, by popular request. The main slider is intended to act as a group when you want them all to adjust together, the individual subchannels for when you want independent control.

That is fine, but if you want to adjust the group while keeping the proportional settings, you must then do so one sub-channel at a time. This is not how most modern mixers work. If Pizz is set 5 points higher than the arco channel, moving the bus would keep the 5 point separation.

Oh, right, I see what you mean. Yes, that is the sort of thing I hope the new sequencer mode will eventually address when it rolls out.

As far as that goes, it would be very nice if we could link several tracks in the mixer so that one adjustment affects the whole group. And if we're asking for the sky here, it would be very, VERY nice if we could then record slider movements to be played back with the score.
