Drums - continuous notes with Beams
Referring to the pics:
1. triplets: if partial triplets, is there way to connect the notes with a beam?
2. Continuous 1/8th notes: example has 4 notes ties together. can the beam be broken up into pairs. eg., 1+ 2+ 3+ 4+ I noticed if you enter the notes as HiHat, notes are paired with a beam. If the snare is added, then delete the hihats, the grouping remains as a beamed pair.
hope this makes sense.

Beams can be applied to rest so the notes on either side can be connected to each other. For the pairs of notes you need to apply start beam to the 3rd note. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/beams for info on applying beams to notes and rests.

You probably read about beaming in the time signature properties which overlaps with the palette some but doesn't permit things like beamed rests.
