Vocal practice tracks
Is there a way to produce vocal practice tracks (mp3s) emphasizing the individual of a closed score using the mixer or do I have to explode and create individual parts?

Depends on how the score was created.
If it is using the men/women instruments and a staff text to assign the voices to the different channels, then you can use the mixer to expand each track/staff into its subchannels and select sounds/volume on them.

Well there is the rub. You lost me at "and a staff text to to assign the voices to different channels", operative word being channels. I have attached a file typical closed score file.

See:

especially "These extra channel tracks can be shown or hidden by clicking the arrow button on top of the track control."
