Define "optimize" or "optimal"
You can certainly improve practically any score, which is better though is a matter of opinion and taste

OK, so "Hide empty staves", see below.
That in turn is FAQ#2, since ages (right after that where the answer is "use voices"). So far nobody had asked for it that way though :-)

Maybe you mean "optimize" in the way Finale uses the term - to hide empty staves? Then yes, Format / Style / Hide empty staves.
If you mean something else, probably best to attach a sample score and describe what you'd like to see different about it. Then we can understand and assist better.

Yes. Optimizing systems.
Mr. Sabatella, can you provide me a link on how I can upload my own sound file (.mp3) to be used when I upload a score for others to see and hear it? I believe that is possible.

This is only possible (and only needed too) when using a non default soundfont (and can export to MP3). Then on File >Save online you'd see a checkbox "Upload score audio". Just tick that.

I actually compose in Logic Pro with several fine sound libraries and use many parameters in the sequencer program to "fine tune" my works, including adding the proper reverb. As you can imagine it gets very technical but the resulting file is VERY good. However, the score editor in the program is very basic. That is why I turn to stand alone score notation programs.

Unfortunately I do not see the "Upload score audio" checkbox when I go to save online. But I will try again.
I am on a Mac.

That checkbox does not allow you to upload any random mp3 alongside with your score. What it does is send the MuseScore-generated audio along if that audio was generated by MuseScore with non-default synthesizer settings.

So the sound quality is determined by the Soundfont file? Well, I find that limiting especially IF part of the purpose is to demonstrate a truer, more realistic rendition of the score.

Also, at this point I cannot even find the "upload audio file" checkbox when I go to post a Musescore online.

Be sure you are actually using "save online" from within MuseScore, not the page on the website itself. The box should be there if you have any custom soundfonts or synthesizer settings - otherwise there is nothing special to upload.

Obviously the audio file I would try to upload with my score would be OF the score. But I understand what you mean that an audio file needs to be generated by Musescore, rather than another program.
If you are talking about some "universal" way to order the instruments into the paper... I'm sure the last MuseScore 3.6.0 has an included "Orchestra" layout. But, it is intended to NEW scores (from the scratch). I think you cannot to use it with an already made score.
But, the standard orchestra layout, from top of the page, is:
Piccolo
Flute
Oboe
English Horn
Clarinet
Bass Clarinet
Bassoon
Bass Bassoon
Horns
Trumpets
Trombones
Tuba
Percussion (I don't know if there is some standard here; but, normally the pitch tuned instruments are first).
Piano (If it is used)
Orchestral Harp
Violins 1
Violins 2
Violas
Celli
Double Basses
Of course, it is more a suggestion than a "final mandatory law".

You can retrofit the ordering to existing scores

And you do so by opening the instruments dialog and then changing the preferred order dropdown in there.
