Changing tempo to fit specific timestamps
Right now, figuring out the tempo for a section of music to make it hit very precise timestamps is completely a matter of trial and error.
A good way to improve this would be to select a region of music and then to be able to input a precise amount of time for the music to fill, hopefully in milliseconds, and for Musescore to figure out the right tempo.

How would that work with mid-score tempo changes?

It would be for the selected region only, without editing tempos outside. For tempo changes in the selected region, it might be best to overwrite those.
