How do I create a doublet in 12/8 time?
I am transcribing printed music for an elderly choral group. The original score is just too tiny to be readable by older eyes. (yes, I am aware of copyrights).
Anyway I have a measure in 12/8 time that begins with a dotted quarter, an eighth, and a quarter note. The remaining 6 beats are divided into two doublets showing quarter notes. I have tried finishing the measure with two dotted quarter rests. When I use Ctrl 2 to change a dotted quarter rest into a doublet it changes to two eighth rests. The same thing happens for the second dotted quarter rest and that leaves an unused eighth rest in the measure.
Obviously Musescore doesn't like fractions any more than I do. Any suggestions?

Place the first notes,
Then create two dotted-quarter rests,
Then click on each in turn and press [Ctrl]-2,
Then enter the notes as eighths.

That is from a new version. Checking to see what I am on and if there is any update. I am on v3.0.5

running Lubuntu so not all versions are open for me yet. Downloaded MuseScore-3.6.2.54802137--x86_64.AppImage from Musescore.

All of them have been released as AppImages; but those indeed don't notify on update availability afaik.
So you want 2 quarters in the space of 1.5. Or 4 eighth in the space of 3, so really a 4-let

It is written as two doublets but I tried a 4-let (quadlet?) and it seems to work
