Hab gerade erst bemerkt, wir können deutsch "reden":
Ich will mit "Werkzeuge" einen Takt vor ausgewählter Note aufspalten,
dann stürzt das Programm regelmäßig ab. Ich hab BigSur 11.2.2 am Laufen und die neuesten Musecore-Version.

We could be talking German, if this were in the German part of the forum ;-)
Still a sample score and the exact steps are missing, there got to be something specific to that score or maybe your system, as splitting measures in general just works

Once again, we cannot begin to investigate a problem until you attach your score - not just a picture - and give us precise steps to follow. That is, what exactly should we click or press after loading your score in order to see a problem?
The fact that you mention a crash happening on Mac only makes me wonder if you perhaps have the "hover text" option enabled on your computer? I gather that's new, and the systems MuseScore rely on do not handle it yet. So you will need to turn that off when using MuseScore.

The problem does not appear with a specific score, but is a general problem probably since the update to 3.6.2

Once again, we need precise steps to reproduce the problem. I have no idea what you mean by "split the beat". So please tell us, step by step, what it is you are doing that produces the crash. Some of the things I tried that worked fine:

Your score -> Split measure - this is the feature name, not split the "beat" (in menu "Tools", as on your attached image above): result, no crash here (Windows 10, version 3.6.2) , works as expected, see animation below.
What would you do differently? And in what order of steps?

I tested multiple times under the same conditions (MacOS BigSur 11.2.2 and Musecore 3.6.2) but I really can’t reproduce the crash. For me, splitting my a measure just works.
I am using this version of Musescore and the program crashes each time I try to do a measure split:
OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.6.2.548021803, revision: 3224f34

In order to investigate, we would need you to attach the score - there is little we can do given only pictures.

I can split measures of that score. At which point exactly are you trying to split it?
Edit: I see, at the last note. Works for me, no crash.

Hah, in this case, the pictures did help. Try opening the timeline :-).
It seems the split command crashes reliably if the timeline is open. So that's the obvious workaround.

Hmm, I can't reproduce with a later 3.x development build, in Debug.
Maybe it got fixed along with #317511: Crash on Undo after adding measures with timeline open?

Quite plausible, it looks like some null pointer checks got added to code determining the start & end range.

I tool the lates 3.x code and reverted the fix from #317511: Crash on Undo after adding measures with timeline open and could reproduce the issue. So #320133: Application Crashes When Splitting Measure really is a duplicate.

I simply select the note in measure 5, followed by Tools > Measure > Split Measure Before Selected Note/Rest and then it crashes.

Tried that, no crash here

I select the note "d" in that measure and it crashes. Just tried again. Same thing.
