Issues with the mobile apps, on iOS and Android, are not being dealt with here on musescore.org, but solely over on musescore.com, like in https://musescore.com/groups/musescore-ios/
However, you don't load MIDI files into the app, but score files

So do I download the PDF file? And how do I do that on the iPad sorry for being stupid about this thanks Dave

No, you download the MuseScore file (MSCZ)., But as explained above, for help using the iPad app, you need to ask over on musescore.com. This site here (musescore.org) is for support of the MsueScore notation software.
