Repeats and Jumps
Am trying to start a repeat from the line where I split the measure at bar 65
but I am not succeeding.

I made changes to an old melody and transposed it.
Repeat was there but is not working now?

If you just place a repeat bar in the middle of a merasure, it indeed won't work. It needs to be at the end of a measure (is the start for the start repeat barline), else it's just look right but play wrong

There is an Intro and then the melody starts.
One repeat is at the beginning of the verse measure
and the other at the end of the last measure.

As always, without seeing the score, we can only guess.
But one guess is that you accidentally disabled repeats in the main toolbar. If that's it - try toggling it to be sure - we need the score in order to say what the problem is.

I went into tools and played up with "unroll repeats? "

Well repeats are not playing in any of my scores.

I have clicked on that accidentally numerous times when I wanted to use the metronome.
But I always clicked on it a second time when I realized that I had not clicked on metronome.
So what happened today never happened before.
What a way to learn.
