How to make tuplet triplet in existing notes without messing it all
I have a scale that needs to be in triplets (with a "3" above). I select the notes and try to make the conversion by ctrl + 3 (comment + 3 in Mac). But the result is an insertion of rest notes, as shown below:
I have been this kind of trouble when adjusting note values or inserting new notes, the editor tries to compensate the difference (thought) and mess with my already written notation.

Triplet entry doens't work that way - you don't enter the notes first then turn them into triplets. You need to enter them as triplets to begin with. See the handbook section on tuplets for more info.

Is not an entry, I am not composing. This is a PDF converted, but the triplets didn't come. I was hoping I could just to modify is or change the edition mode.

Unfortunately, this is but one of very many reasons why PDF import seldom ends up being faster than just entering the notes yourself.

Thought worth the try, not always is so problematic. By copy - paste I can move notes and fix other problems. This issue is peculiar and I might open a suggestion for improvement, but I still need to improve my own skills right now!
Interesting is - I change something and Musescore change something else to compensate my change. But after ending the compass, the math is wrong, there is too many notes, so I have to cut out the ending where there is only rest.
Also Bach is even more interesting when working in his writing, he did all this at that time with a primitive paper and ink... what a mind, hun...

Yes, the import probably resulted in too many beats, and MuseScore won't change that unless you explicitly tell it to. So if you shorten a note, a rest is added to keep the measure length the same. If you want to shorted the measure, do so directly using the Measure Properties, or Ctrl+Deleting individual notes, rests, or ranges. But again, don't expect it to be faster than entering the notes yourself - usually it isn't.

Thanks, but I have been there. I tried the tutorial but, as I wrote above, is not an insertion of notes, it's a modification, and there is no solution for this case. I will have to rewrite it all over from empty compass.
