Hmm for some reason Musescore is opening windowed
It use to opened full screen every time as in screenshot10 but now it is opening windowed as in screenshot 11. I tried setting it full screen via View and it worked for a moment when reopening after closing but then forgot my setting the next time.

Have you tried the "maximize botton" on the very top right of the window?

Yep but when I close and reopen its back to that window.

Well I sort of fixed it---not perfect though but slightly better (screenshot 12). Its not that big a deal as I can always manually make it full screen---just sucks because it use to automatically open full screen as that's my preference. I guess I'll have to wait for the next update and hope that fully fixes it.

Not sure this has much to do with MuseScore, really. What happens if you close MuseScore in full screen. then restart your computer?

Yep that finally fully fixed it---tried it before seeing your comment---was just coming back to update. It seemed to have done the trick as I tested it out a few times to make sure.

Great. Good luck. Personally, I shut my computers down every night. And some times during the day, if I'm not going to be using it for several hours. Once and a while, one of them wants to open things in windowed mode. No idea why. But it straightens itself out.
