MuseScore 3, Mixer does not show status of mute and solo
Dear experts,
some days ago I updated two computers (notebook and desktop) to Ubuntu Studio 21.04.
I have added the ppa:mscore-ubuntu/mscore-stable and I did an upgrade of MuseScore 3.
After the first configuration steps (it is a brand new installation of MuseScore), I wanted to edit a score, and of course I need the mixer to mute or play solo instruments.
The "LED"-Buttons for Solo (S) and Mute (M) do their job concerning muting or play solo instruments but the buttons are not showing the corresponding status. This behavior is the same on both PCs.
I tried to clarify this behavior in a short screencast (as i was not allowed to upload a mp4-file I have compressed it with 7z)
Do you have any hints what's going wrong here and where I can look for any solution?
Thanks in advance and best regards
Fortunox

3.2.3 is pretty old meanwhile, 3.6.2 is the latest and greatest, so better update!

Thanks JoJo, - yes, in fact, I noticed that when I was just on github ;-)
I have found an AppImage there with the new version and now the buttons are working fine ;-)
Thanks

Thanks Jm6stringer!
With your question I was able to find the solution!
In the about-text is a link to github and there I saw, that the ppa uses a really old Version of musescore. I also found an AppImage there and with this Version the solo and mute button work as expected.
Many thanks for that impulse!

Yes...
Installing an up-to-date version is generally recommended as a first step in troubleshooting (any) software issues.
