Header & Footer Style - special symbols queries
Hi all,
1) is there a way of making the "yellow special symbols" pop-up stay on longer? I just get roughly where I need to look and it disappears, which is very annoying (to me)
2) when trying to add page numbers, I can't get it to either add a page number on the first page (which I suppose is fair enough) but it then puts "page 1" on "page 2" which is even more annoying. Yes I've tried lots of combinations and still not managed it. I am obviously doing something (very) stupid. Could someone please enlighten me.
Thank you

1) no there isn't (well, there may be one: you'd need to build MuseScore form the sources for that and change the duration a toolTop gets shown, see https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qwidget.html#toolTipDuration-prop), but the handbook has a copy of it, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/score-properties#header-footer
2) please share the score, like you have a page number offset in Style > Page settings, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/page-settings

You must have been there, else that setting would still be at the default of 0
Edit: default is of course 1

actually, no. I've never even noticed that part of the setting. Interestingly, it knows not to add a page number to the first page of the score as that is where all the copyright jargon I had to put , was placed. So that would make sense not to put a page number there. perhaps because it did that, it then automatically made the parts the same?

Default is 1 (I corrected my post above), so you must have changed it. And if you do this on the score and then generate the parts, they'd inherit that setting
