multimeasure rests oddity
Hey, folks. I have a 6 part work. 4 of the parts have a 12 measure rest. The automatic multimeasure rest notation for 3 of those 4 parts produces a single measure rest followed by an 11 measure multimeasure rest. The 4th part however correctly displays a 12 measure multimeasure rest.
Why is that happening and how can I fix it? They should all show a 12 measure multimeasure rest. (I'm pretty much a newbie to musescore BTW.)

If you mean starting at bar 10, the reason it isn't combined with the rest is that it isn't empty. For some reason there is a dynamic marking there. It's not needed obviously, since they aren't playing, so just delete it, then add a dynamic where they actually come in. That's always good practice anyhow - even if the dynamic doesn't change, always state an explicit dynamic after a multimeasure rest.

Yer a genius. Thanks. That did it. And it explains why the cello part did it right. I'd seen that but thought the measure was empty because it had no notes in it.
