Unbarible audio playback
I'm using Musescore 3.6.2 on Fedora 35. I haven't had any issue with playing back scores before until I rebooted my computer a couple hours ago after it froze for no obvious reason. The playback now sounds unbearable. Its 'clicking' and it might be my imagination but it sounds like the tempo is faster than it should be. I haven't made any changes to the settings in Musescore in weeks and I've already tried restoring to factory defaults. In a desperate last resort, I uninstalled and re-installed Musescore but that didn't help at all. I don't know if this is relevant or not but these audio issues seem to be only with playing back scores. The quality of the audio in exported ogg files appears to not be effected.
(edit: fixed version)

MuseScore 3.6.3 doesn't exist

I meant 3.6.2. Shows you how frustrated I am. Can't type straight...
So since your MuseScore settings and version didn't change, perhaps your audio driver was updated?

I found going into preferences and changing I/O to portaudio from pulseaudio fixed it. Going through my logs, one of the software packages that was updated before I rebooted was pipewire which implements pulseaudio. That can't be a coincidence... I hope every time some audio system library gets updated, the playback in Musescore doesn't get messed up like this.

There aren;t that many relevant libraries, and they don't tend to be updated that often. But if it does happen again, chances are, the same fix will apply.
