Feedback on notation?
I'm setting up an experiment and wondering if there's a way to get a Musescore score I created to function in certain ways when played correctly (i.e. the note turns green) or played incorrectly (the note turns red)? I know lots of apps out there have the capability (i.e. Piano Maestro) but I want to use my own music and program the score/notation to offer feedback in various ways. Any ideas?

MuseScore will always play the score correctly, but it doesn't listen to your playing at all. So it's not really the right app for what you're talking about. You want a different type of app entirely - something to help you practice piano, not something like MuseScore which is all about actually creating scores. Presumably some of the apps that are designed to help you practice the piano would allow you to import your own music, such as in MusicXML format. So be on the lookout for one that does, then you can export your music from MuseScore in that format and import it into your practice program.

OK, got it, thanks! The piano practice apps out there (the ones I've looked into so far - Piano Maestro, Skoove, Flowkey) don't have much or any customizability but I'll keep looking and thinking of options.

Perhaps the Piano Tutor project that once started as a modified MuseScore 2 version can be of use to you?
