Grouped grace notes in different staves
Hi,
I'd like to achieve the first screenshot below. I managed to get grace notes for the upper staff. But I can't get them in sequence AND add ties on the lower staff (second screenshot). I could select the chord on the lower staff and add grace notes but then they don't belong to the same group as the ones for the upper chord and can't add the ties.
Any ideas?

You can achieve the look of your first example by using slurs instead of ties for the first 3 grace notes (which are cross-staff notes):

Look, yes. But what about playback.

Well, yes - I did answer the easy part of the question... ;-)
Perhaps someone can answer the more challenging aspect?

I do think that this is odd notation to begin with.

For playback: Tied_grace_notes2.mscz
Use the play panel (F11) and slow the tempo until you can easily detect the difference in the playing order of the individual notes.
Why not an arpeggio instead of grace notes?

I linked the source I saw this from. It uses tuplets. But I didn't manage to get it to work.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a shot :)
BTW I edited my original comment to provide the original source: https://musescore.com/user/2749876/scores/2603376
I managed to decipher the original :) This is the trick: the actual bar is 6/4 (I believe the + at the end indicates this). It has an invisible rest that is then filled by a tuplet on the other staff.
My bars are 2/2 and I have more notes, so they became 16th's, but I managed to achieve this :)

This playback is like the original. The "grace notes" are small regular notes. Use the inspector to adjust them. Go to View/(uncheck) show invisible, to get the right look. I would keep 6/4 for at lest the next measure. All in all, kind of a pain to work out.
