When I try to upload MuseScore 4 scores to musescore.com, it does not upload. I get an "unexpected error" :(

MuseScore 4 is not released yet. Use ver. 3.6.2

Not officially, but it is available 👍 As a newb, it's significantly easier and more intuitive to use than v3. I would love to be able to convert files from v4 to v3 just for the purpose of uploading 🤷♂️

The beta version, when released, may support upload to dotcom.
See:

and a few paragraphs down read about beta testing in "Next Steps".

You can try MusicXML export from ver. 4 alpha and open in ver. 3.6.2 to save and upload to dotcom.

Great idea, the XML exports work - thanks!

No, MuseScore 4 is not available, What is available are experimental pre-release builds for testing. As a an experimental pre-release build, it's totally to be expected that not all features are there yet, some don't work at all, and things may change between now and release in ways that mess up your scores. So don't rely on it for real work yet. Maybe by the beta it will be close enoughto release quality that one could possibly risk it, but for now, it's for testing purposes only.
but, I'm glad you are finding even this experimental pre-release build to be easy to use!

Hell yeah, MuseScore 4 is much more logical an UI friendly. v3 just confuses the hell out of me 😆 I'm psyched for the public release!
