Will Musescore 3.6 run on Monterey iMac Intel Quad core i5?
I am still on Big Sur. Will Musescore 3.6 have problems if I update to Monterey on my iMac 2017 with Intel Quad core i5? I asked a similar question a long while ago but got no replies.

Good to hear! Do you have/ had the same model iMac running 3.6 & Monterey? I was hesitant after reading this post https://musescore.org/en/node/326333 where DIM had to downgrade from Monterey. Was he a one off exception and many others have no issues? Let's hear from those who have no issues.

No, I don't.
Maybe you'd better not update, might run into #327408: MuseScore 3.6.2 on macOS 12 Monterey startup hang on 'Initializing sequencer and audio driver...' otherwise

I cannot accept the chance of non functional Musescore on my iMac. Will Musescore 4.0 run on my (old) Imac 2017 quad core i5 or do I need to buy a newer iMac?

Now that Musescore 4.0 is out, Is it possible to install 4.0 and also keep 3.6 on my Intel Quadcore iMac with Big Sur? In case 4.0 has problems?
