I can't find where to edit dynamics or crescendos in Musescore 4 beta release.
In Musescore 3.6, dynamics and crescendo/decrendo hairpins could be edited within the Inspector (for instance, I could make the niente dynamic work properly or have a decrescendo decrease the dynamic by a chosen amount even if it wasn't followed by actual dynamics). The Properties panel in Musescore 4 appears to be functionally equivalent to Musescore 3's Inspector panel, so I would expect that once the dynamic or hairpin is selected, then the dynamics editing options to be there along with the appearance formatting settings (as it does in Musescore 3). Problem is, these options aren't there. Have these settings been moved (or removed), or are they not fully reimplemented?
Thanks

As per my reply to your other question on this, the new plan is to have all control of volume be connected to the notes themselves. So right now, you use velocity, but there are designs being worked on to provide a "volume lane" similar to some DAW's in a future update.

Okay, thanks. My main issue is that neither the dynamic for "niente" nor the niente circle on hairpins actually does anything. How would a "volume lane" work in this context? Is it like MIDI CC#1, but with values selected by dynamics and hairpins?

I don't have experience with DAW software that provides these, nor do I know the details of the design being consider for MuseScore. But, if the neinte isn't working current,y that's simply a bug to be fixed, no need for new volume lanes. I recommend reporting this on GitHub with a small sample score to demonstrate before behaviors.
