Musescore 4 just isn't working
I downloaded Musescore 4 yesterday, and it just doesn't work. The audio is very buggy, and the whole thing is just laggy. I have a song where multiple instruments come in, and it will just crash. It could be my laptop but even though it's not that good, this is a bit much. I've been trying to bring my M3 songs over but I cannot do anything with it acting up like this. I have a video of it but I can't post it here. Anybody know what's going on?

I had the exact same problem as you three weeks ago... The installation went completely fine, even the first launch. But when I started putting in notes, it kept playing just some of them, and as you say, it was terribly buggy. When I tried to play a file created in the latest Musescore 3.6, sometimes an instrument wouldn't even play, let alone the dynamics and staccato (which didn't work as it should). As for the sounds, neither the classic ones nor the better ones from MuseHub worked for me. I've tried turning it on on two different Windows 11 laptops made a year and two years ago, so I don't believe it is a problem with the computer. When I installed MuseHub, I downloaded sounds up to the seventh try and even the app itself kept crashing.
So, unfortunately, I can't advise you. My explanation is that the apps are still in beta and we just have to expect that it won't work as it should for some time (which annoys me because it works fine for a lot of users :D). I just wanted to let you now you're not alone.

Ok I’m glad this isn’t just a me problem. It’s sad but they’ll probably fix it eventually.

I just bought it (musescore 4) today, I had no idea it was brand new and it didn't tell me it was in beta (it still doesn't say that). I have no knowledge of this beforehand, I just needed something to convert a PDF sheet music (composed by my friend) to MIDI so I can digitize it easily. My hasty googling told me musescore 4, on sale 70% off, it does exactly that. Okay!
It's a mess!! The free version wouldn't work at all which is why I just upgraded to the full one (again, hasty, my fault). But it messes up the song entirely, this is awful. :(

It is free.

Okay yes that's what I meant, thanks.
Scammy as hell then, because when I clicked the 'get MuseScore' button inside of the 'Muse Hub' is what caused the subscription site to come up immediately. I appreciate the reply.
