Hi,
On my Macbook, it doesn't seem to be any shortcut that could lead to that situation. Even when in editing/modify mode, when pressing "a" on any note to change it the an "A", positions on and plays the fist note in the same bar. The editing must therefore be made with the mouse. This, of course does not happen with any other notes (BCDEFG). No emergency at all, as there is a workaround, not quite convenient, but existing.
