I can't fix my corrupted file
I was working on this score when it suddenly closed. The two other files that were open, stayed open. When I tried to reopen the score I was working on, it said the file was corrupted. I canceled the message, and the score didn't open like it usually did. So I tried to open it in musescore 3 with zip, but that also didn't work because of an error. I don't know what to do anymore. I have worked on this score for weeks and have to hand it in soon.

The Diagnosis (Nightly of today) says: Error=XML_ERROR_EMPTY_DOCUMENT ErrorID=13 (0xd) Line number=0
Search for the backup.
Edit: It was not possible for me to extract from zip.

None needed, see below
Strange, the mscx inside the mscz opens just fine
For some reason the mscz lost the META-INF/container.xml file
Try the attached

Thank you so much! I don't know how you did it, but it worked.

I extraxted the mscx from the mscz (which really is just a ZIP archive in disguise), opened that in Mu4 and saved it as mscz

You might consider saving you score every so often. Several times while you are working on it.

I literally saved every 2 minutes. I even made a pdf every so often just to be sure and everything was gone.
This is like last minute hope. My son was suppose to showcase his piece in front of an audience for his composition camp TOMORROW D: Its corrupted. I tried opening in MuseScore 4 and 3. No luck. Hopefully this attachment contains everything. This is what my son sent me and Im clueless as to what Im doing. Thanks.

This file only contains about 42.5 kBytes of zeros. Sorry, that's not fixable.
Look for a backup, e.g. in the hidden folder ".mscbackup".

I really appreciate you taking a look at it. He found enough of a backup to recreate the missing sections.
