It seems that Musescore.org uses Yandex.ru . Could someone confirm ? Any idea why ?

musescore.com certainly does.
It is about gathering statistics, same as if using google for that

Just block https://mc.yandex.ru/ in your router ot firewall.
Or add "0.0.0.0 mc.yandex.ru" to your hosts file.
