Dal Segno repeats with alternate endings

I have a piece, and I have an A section with a repeating part in it ||: So I use those. Then later on for the B section I have one ending I want so that it plays that before going to the start after the intro where I have a segno, but then the next time it plays through, I'd like it to have an alternate ending going into the bridge.

I tried doing that with 1. and 2. sections, but for some reason, it always just skips to the 2. and never does the dal segno part.

What am I doing wrong?
