Time signature editor bug in Parts Current version 3.6.X & 4.0.X.
This a bug I found when creating a custom text time signature in both MS3 and MS4 before a multi-measure rest. Is there a work around? If I add a multi-measure rest break it fixes the issue. I attached a picture to show the issue. The 3/2 signature is a 4/4 with custom text. This issue also happens not on a line break, this is just the easiest visual.

So the problem is the courtesy time sig at the end of the previous system?

It is the time signature at the beginning of the line. The 3/2 is the adjusted sig. the 4/4 is the original. Only wanting to see the 3/2

Score needed, I can't reproduce, not in 3.6.2 nor in 4.0.1

I don't understand how this is going to work. Which beats govern the playback, measure by measure?
3/2 = 6 quarter notes
4/4 = 4 quarter notes
If I am confused, it's very possible that MuseScore is confused too. Hence the courtesy 3/2 followed by a "real" 4/4.
Here is an alternative version which uses real 3/2 and real 4/4 time signatures:
