Portamento in glissandi not "portamenting"
After a lot of searching on the forum i was unable to experience the smooth transition between the notes with glissando. After checking "Properties > General > Playback > Glissando > Style > Portamento" the two notes sound like if they were played with one another instead of 'sliding' to the second note. (the first two bars sound exactly like the latter two bars)
I searched for something like a slider that was available for 3.x versions, but i couldn't find that either
Can you please help?

Nothing in the playback settings?

In the Properties > General > Playback there is only one option and that is portamento that doesn't want to work (i already selected portamento and it works as i've described above in the attachment

Works for me though. May depend on instrument and sound

It surely depends on the instrument. Portamento piano??

any instrument i test just won't work
i tried with voice, piano, violin, viola, flute. nothing worked
i just need to show how portamento works and sounds to someone so any instrument that works would be good

Works fine with violin for me, up to around an octave. Not, obviously, for piano - it's physically incapable of it, so there are no samples to use. But if you switch to MS Basic or another soundfont, it may try to "fake" it electronically.

But of course, Muse Sounds wasn't sampled from a synth; it uses actual instrument samples. Anyhow, for better or for worse, the Muse Sampler player doesn't have processing for things like this.

Is there any plan for the Muse Sampler player to have that processing capability added / implemented?

Hard to say; the Muse Sounds team doesn’t typically publish their plans. But based on past statements, it seems more likely they simply record more portamento samples than they current have, than spend time electronically faking it.
Do you have ANY score where the portamento works OK? And, can you attach the score where you're having the problem?
The effect is strong legato at best. I think it has been reported many times, one here:

Thank you jounip for the help, But unfortunately this only works on ( Solo Strings), it didn't work with me when I tried what you did on the bigger strings , And I think because it's not yet made for the orchestra strings and not programed for a transition or portamento even when going to its settings only the other Glissandos work but not the portamento, But I hope it gets in the app fast because it's a need and a plus, it's very expressive.
I can't make this work either which is infurating. It seems to be working beautifully in this score though if that helps at all

Please attach the score you are having trouble with and give precise steps to reproduce the problem, so we can understand and assist better.
