new versions
theres a new version- i think its called 4.1 or something now and im just worried- will it delete my scores or can i update safely knowing my scores will all still be there? sorry if its a stupid question

Of itself, it won't do anything to your scores. Only if you open a score created in a older version and then save it using a newer version of the program will any changes be made. Best idea is to make backup copies of all your favourite files before opening them in a newer version.

Using your operating system's file manager, simply copy the mscz files from the "... MuseScore3/Scores" to "... MuseScore4/Scores" before opening them in MuS 4 and saving them again.
To be clear: no update to MuseScore ever has or ever will delete any of your files.
